Glimpses of the College

Shree U.N. Mehta Arts college organized by the sarvodaya education society was established in 1960. It was inaugurated by a Gandhian philosopher and then M.L.A of Morbi respectable Gokaldasbhai Parmar on 15-06-1960. During five decades this institution has developed good culture. This college has achieved extraordinary mile stone in fifty-three years.

To educate, the younger generation irrespective of caste, creed, colour or sex in the countryside, i.e. to bring higher education at their door step so that may be equipped & can play an important role of a Good citizen in building up of a healthy democratic nation.

Achievements of this College

Shree U.N.Mehta Arts College was established in 1960 with a goal to provide good citizens to the society with higher education at is our privilege to share some achievements of this college.
  • Our College received ‘B’ grade in ‘NAAC’.
  • Under the literacy mission of N.S.S., students of this college helped Naranka village of Morbi taluka achieve 100% literacy.
  • Under this institution, Baba Saheb Open University centre is established, providing service-class and other deserving students opportunities for higher education.
  • An Information Technology Communication Study Centre is also established by this college, where basic computer knowledge is imparted, fulfilling the needs of the modern age.
  • Many alumni of this college have adorned high posts such as magistrate, vice chancellor, principals, professors, bank managers, police inspectors, and chief officers.
  • Kirti B. Kajiya, a former student of this college, registered her name in the Limca Book of National Records in 2009 for her unique art of cutting hair blindfolded while holding eight pairs of scissors.
  • Similarly, Hardik T. Parmar showcased different models inside a bottle and gained recognition through E.T.V. and other popular channels.
